第七十一課（Ⅰ） Lesson Seventy-one（Ⅰ）
一、教學內容
1．詞匯（略）。
2．句型： 1） Happy birthday! 2）There is no time to… 3）Here's your present. 4） And so is Polly.
二、教具
錄音機；仿課文插圖的大掛圖；寫有一些原形動詞的小黑板（以下幾個動詞要包括進去：ask, say, think, run, find, give等）。
三、課堂教學設計
1．復習值日生報告。教師出示小黑板，學生快速拼寫其過去式。
2．教師通過以下提問引出本課所學內容：
T： When is Ann's birthday?
Ss： Next Sunday is Ann's birthday.
T： Is she going to have a birthday party?
Ss： Yes, she is.
T： Where is she going to have the party?
Ss： She's going to have the party at home.
T： At what time is the party going to start?
Ss： It's going to start at half past four.
T： Who is going to her party?
Ss： Bruce, Kate and Jim.
T： Good. Now say something about what they're going to do at the birthday party. （這句話也可用漢語。）
啟發大家說（用英語）在生日聚會上可能會有什么、會做什么等。教師可將學生說出的詞或短語羅列在黑板上，遇有學生不能用英語表達的，教師要提供幫助。
3．將事先準備好的掛圖拿出。對照掛圖，看看剛才大家談話中的詞有多少能用上。結合圖畫教本課生詞，反復領讀。
4．將課文提示的錄音放一遍，確信大家弄明白提示中的讀前提問之后，給學生五分半鐘時間（本文計約187個詞）自己閱讀。規定時限過后，回答書上的提問。
5．放課文錄音，學生跟讀一至兩遍（視所剩時間而定）。
6．布置作業
1）練習朗讀本課課文；2）抄寫生詞；3）預習練習冊習題1、2。
